Scottsdale Apartments May Provide a Higher Standard of Living for Some
Studies have shown that there is a correlation between real estate sales prices and how affordable it is to rent in that same area, meaning that if Scottsdale has some of the highest real estate prices in Arizona, it’s also the city where you’re going to find some of the highest rental rates.
But if renting Scottsdale property is so expensive, why not buy? After all, conventional wisdom says it’s better to put money into equity than rent. Probably the most common answer is that Scottsdale property renters have been priced out of the local housing market. In general, renters are less affluent than homeowners, and in many cases saving a big enough nest egg for a down payment is very difficult.
However, some locals choose to rent Scottsdale property for entirely different reasons. With prices so swollen, many renters are waiting for Scottsdale property prices to cool before investing in a home. Others aren’t quite ready to commit to owning a home, and still others find that renting a Scottsdale property may just provide a higher standard of living. The last few “can afford to live in a $1 million home, but they can’t buy a $1 million home.”
