Scottsdale Real Estate Construction Benefits from Tilt-Up Method
Tilt-up construction, a method “of casting reinforced concrete panels on-site and then tilting the panels into position,” is gaining market share when it comes to building new Scottsdale real estate. The technique dates back to the ancient Romans, but it didn´t make a big impact in the U.S. until the late 1940s, when advancements such as reinforced concrete became readily available.
There are several reasons for why tilt-up construction is becoming popular again within the Scottsdale real estate construction market. The primary reason is that it´s more economical, as “pouring concrete onsite circumvents having to transport heavy walls.” It also speeds up construction. However, the tilt-up method is also very useful because it can be used to build a very wide variety of Scottsdale real estate, including homes, schools, retail centers and medical and office buildings.
Tilt-up construction also saves the Scottsdale real estate buyer money. Tilt-up buildings are very durable, and even those leftover from the 1940s “show few signs of age.” This durability keeps maintenance costs low.
