Scottsdale Homes Rank Highest on the Home Price Comparison Index
This year´s Coldwell Banker Home Price Comparison Index (HPCI) "evaluated average home values for a single-family dwelling measuring approximately 2,200 square feet with four bedrooms, two and one-half baths, a family room (or equivalent) and two-car garage." Of the 334 national markets surveyed, Scottsdale homes were ranked the most expensive in Arizona.
At an average sales price of $478, 833, Scottsdale homes have a higher average sale price than the cumulative average sale price of all of the U.S. markets combined, which the HPCI put at $401,767. Scottsdale homes are also almost $200,000 more expensive than 52 percent of the other markets surveyed, which have an average sale price of less than $300,000. However, Scottsdale homes weren´t pricey enough to make the list of top ten national markets, which all had an average sale price of upwards of $1 million.
