Scottsdale Golf Courses Some of the Best in the Country

Two new Scottsdale golf courses have made Golfweek magazine´s 2005 list of "Top 40 Best New Courses," with the Golf Club Scottsdale coming in at 10th place and the Desert Mountain Club’s Outlaw Course coming in at 11th.

Both of the chosen Scottsdale golf courses are private and were developed with "a special pipeline to bring water to the fairways." Both are also near northern Scottsdale, where the views don not include houses, but "rolling hills, desert washes and native trees and plants…under vistas of purple and blue peaks."

Both of the Scottsdale golf courses belong to very exclusive clubs. Initiation fees range from $110,000 to $325,000, and at the Desert Mountain, "you can’t be a member without buying property."
