Grayhawk

The Grayhawk master planned community promises unique architecture, distinctive design and homes built with "respect for the natural desert environment." The wide variety of housing styles and prices, along with a convenient location (near the Loop 101 Freeway in North Scottsdale), have helped attract a diverse population that includes young families, singles, executives and retirees.

Grayhawk was developed with two distinct neighborhoods: The Park and The Retreat. Grayhawk's Park is a 497-acre neighborhood of nine gated subdivisions. It offers an elementary school, a shopping plaza and a retirement community. The second Grayhawk neighborhood is The Retreat, a 539-acre, resort-style neighborhood with 15 subdivisions and gated communities. A roadway and a greenbelt separate the two neighborhoods. Grayhawk encompasses about 1,600 acres; half of that land remains in its natural state.

Grayhawk housing choices include condominiums, single-family homes, custom and luxury homes and townhouses. Both new and resale homes are available. One and two-story Grayhawk homes range from the $200,000s to over $500,000. Sizes range from 1,300 square feet to 4,000 square feet. Large custom homes can be $1million and up.

Community amenities and services include restaurants and shopping, hospitals, sports facilities, and two well-known golf courses, Raptor and Talon. There are also 30 miles of landscaped walking/biking trails.

Keeping with the digital times, Grayhawk is wired the community with a hybrid fiber-optic/coax cable network. Residents can log onto a community intranet and request golf tee times, communicate with neighbors or check upcoming community events. Grayhawk will also be ready technology to come with a CyberSmart AMP OnQ system providing homes with wiring infrastructure for multiple phone lines, high-speed data and a cable modem. Homes can have closed-circuit TV, security and home management controls.

Every Grayhawk homeowner becomes a member of the Grayhawk Community Association. Some subdivisions within Grayhawk may have separate Neighborhood Associations, and may enjoy amenities and services unique to their neighborhoods - a community pool or front yard maintenance, for example.
